Meet Chrissy

Every unique creation sold by ChrissyCakes is designed and hand-crafted by Chrissy Corrado. Chrissy’s love for baking began when she was just a small child. Every Christmas she would help her mom bake and decorate dozens of cookies, candies and other goodies to give as gifts to relatives. As she grew up, her love of baking grew with her, baking an apple pie entirely from scratch at the age of ten and creating a chocolate chip cookie the size of a large pizza. 

Now, years later, Chrissy has created ChrissyCakes, and still loves to bake and decorate all kinds of goodies for other people.

ChrissyCakes is the culmination of a life-long pursuit and fulfillment of a dream to own her own business. After studying marketing in college and working at various advertising agencies, Chrissy started her own resume writing business. But her heart wasn’t in it. She wanted to start a business that she truly had a passion for. Years later, she took a cake decorating class and was hooked. She finally found a way to express her creativity while doing something she really enjoyed. To practice her art, she made cakes for her co-workers’ and relatives’ birthdays. Then it was time to pursue the cake decorating business with a passion. And so, ChrissyCakes was born.

ChrissyCakes specializes in unique cake designs that you won't find anywhere else. Mixing Chrissy's imagination, passion, and personalized attention with her customers' dreams creates a one of a kind experience.

The uniqueness of Chrissy's cake designs have won numerous awards including the People's Choice award for the best novelty cake at Pittsburgh's Premier Cake Decorating and Tasting Contest, "Let Them Eat Cake!" A benefit for The Midwife Center's Women's Health Fund. Chrissy was also selected as a Signature Chef for the March of Dimes' 14th Annual Chefs' Auction.

But it is the satisfaction of seeing her customers gaze in amazement at her creations that keeps Chrissy enthusiastic and passionate about her work.
